About Us
We’re Wovena — a small team from the Taunus region in Hesse, trying to do something smart (and maybe a little cheeky) with new, unused fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfills or incineration plants.
Founded in 2025. We keep things simple and direct: IT, logistics, sourcing, price negotiations —
we handle it all ourselves. Fast, hands-on, and pragmatic.
What We Do
We save fabrics before they’re discarded—high-quality, flawless materials that come from surplus stock or assortment changes. Instead of going unused, these textiles get a second chance with us. We turn them into cushions, curtains, or other new favorite pieces—extending their life cycle in a meaningful way.
We experiment a lot. And yes, sometimes it’s a bit of a “good enough for now — getting better soon” situation,
but always with a clear conscience.
Why We Do It
How it started? Pure chance. One of us spoke with a company that let us try out this crazy idea. But the desire to make a change had been there for a long time.
At 14, one of us was an intern in a fabric selection meeting — and saw how, season after season,
thousands of meters of fabric were simply thrown away.
Fifteen years later, we’re finally scratching that old itch: time to stop the waste.
How We Work
We keep things lean. No warehouse, no glass-walled office. We use our partners’ infrastructure — allowing us to offer fair prices without compromising on quality.
Better materials at this price? Hard to find.
And if you do, it’s probably because it’s on sale with us.
What Matters to Us
- Use what already exists.
- Do it yourself, do it well.
- Think fast, act fast.
- Fair prices — even when we could charge more.
- No frills. The material takes center stage.
Sustainability — For Real
Everyone talks about sustainability. We just live it. What’s more sustainable than using what’s already there? Our partners are paid fairly, you get quality at a fair price, and we sleep well knowing nothing goes to waste. Win-win-win.
We’re always happy to hear your feedback — because this only works if it works for you too. And check back in a few weeks — there’s bound to be something new waiting for you.
